Halifax Transit Launches Cutting-Edge Mobile Ticketing Solution Powered by Masabi
The partnership gives riders unprecedented access to a more streamlined, modern and enjoyable transit experience via the new HFXGO app
Halifax, NS – November 2, 2023 – Halifax Transit today announced the launch of a new digital fare payment system powered by Masabi, the company delivering smarter ticketing through its open platform Justride. HFXGO, the agency’s new mobile ticketing app, means that riders are able to purchase fares anytime, anywhere, simplifying rider access to Halifax Transit bus and ferry services.
The ground-breaking new mobile ticketing solution, powered by Masabi’s Justride, will transform the rider experience by allowing Halifax Transit riders to control a single mobility account from their smartphone device, and travel across the agency’s entire network quickly and seamlessly. Riders can purchase tickets on their phone and when boarding simply show their mobile device, speeding up the boarding process. They can also now purchase tickets online using the new Halifax Transit web portal, and push tickets to their mobile device. All ticket types are available to purchase via the app and web portal from today.
